KENOSHA, Wis. - The Illinois Welseyan University men's and women's swim and dive team competed in day two of the Carthage Classic Friday night, Dec. 2. The Titans concluded day two of the invite after competing in 16 events today. 

On the men's side, senior Ethan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) placed third in the 100-yard butterfly event, clocking in with a time of 53.37. 

For the women, junior Hadley Fudge (Stanford, Ill.-University) competed in the 200-yard individual medley and placed second with a time of 2:13.04. Fudge also placed sixth in the 200-yard backstroke with a following from sophomore Kayleigh Kuschewski (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia) and freshman Samantha Borre (Hoffman Estates, Ill.-Conant), placing sixth and seventh with times of 2:15.17 and 2:17.64, respectively. Fifth year Lauren Feddersen (Champaign, Ill.-Centennial) took fifth place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:32.12.

The Titans compete tomorrow, Dec. 2, in 12 individual events. Prelims begin at 9 a.m. with finals starting at 5 p.m. Diving will compete at 11:30 p.m. in between the prelims and the finals.
