Yoder Tabbed CCIW Player of the Week

First weekly award of his career

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball senior captain Luke Yoder (Normal, Ill.-Central Catholic) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men's Basketball Player of the Week Monday afternoon, Nov. 20. It is the first weekly award of Yoder's career.

Yoder helped IWU to a 1-1 record at the Great Lakes Invitational over the weekend, Nov. 17-18. The Normal, Ill. native averaged 20 points per game on a 52.0 shooting percentage while tying for the team lead with 6.5 rebounds per contest. The veteran floor general dished out 3.5 assists per contest and swiped three steals. Yoder went for a career-high 28 points against Wittenberg, Nov. 17, before pulling in a career-best nine rebounds against Marietta, Nov. 18, as he was named to the All-Great Lakes Invitational team.

Yoder and the Titans close out a brief three-game roadtrip Wednesday, Nov. 22, with a battle with the Bears of Washington University in St. Louis. Tipoff of the Thanksgiving Eve bout is scheduled for 3 p.m.
