Fudge Recieves First Career CCIW Swimmer of the Week

Junior wins two events at Augustana dual

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Junior Hadley Fudge (Stanford, Ill.-University) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's swimming and diving team was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Swimmer of the Week, announced Tuesday, Nov. 14. It marks Fudge's first career weekly accolade and the first for the women's team on the season.

Fudge and her team competed in a dual with Augustana University Saturday, Nov. 11 where she raced in the women's 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard individual medley, and the 100-yard backstroke. The Stanford, Ill. native placed first both in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:13.55 time and the 200-yard individual medley, clocking in at 2:21.76. Fudge placed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.84.

The junior joins this honor with fellow teammate freshman Jack Hansen (Naperville, Ill.-Benet) who earned CCIW Co-Swimmer of the Week back in October.

Fudge and the Titans will host their second home meet Saturday, Nov. 18, for the IWU Invite.
