ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's swimming and diving team dropped its College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin dual meet opener to Augustana College Saturday, November 11. The Titans garnered six individual wins throughout the meet.

Junior Carter Dilger (Sellersburg, Ind.-Jeffersonville) was the first Titans to win in the men's 1000-yard freestyle. He claimed the first nine point win for the Green and White with a time of 10:28.20. Freshman Jack Hansen (Naperville, Ill.-Benet) picked up IWU's second win with a 2:04.91 time in the 200-yard butterfly. Senior Henry Moore (Champaign, Ill.-Cenntenial) won the 500 yard freestyle clocking in at an impressive 4:58.82.

The first to take an individual event win home for the women was junior Hadley Fudge (Stanford, Ill.-University) in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 2:13.55. The Stanford, Ill. native also turned in a first-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:21.76. Fifth-year Lauren Feddersen (Champaign, Ill.-Centennial) garnered her first place title in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:34.10. 

IWU's women's team was outscored by the Vikings 208-82 while the men fell 205-72.

Illinois Wesleyan returns to action on Saturday, November 18, as the Titans host the IWU Invite inside Fort Natatorium. The meet is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
