BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Junior Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's basketball team was named to the D3hoops.com Preseason All-American Fifth Team Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Huber is the first Titan to garner preseason recognition from the organization since Kendall Sosa did so ahead of the 2020-21 campaign. She was one of two CCIW student-athletes selected to the 25-player list.

A captain for the Titans for the second straight year, Huber is coming off of a sensational sophomore season in which she averaged a double-double. The Lombard, Ill. native started all 27 games for IWU in 2022-23, averaging 18.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. She shot 51.9 percent from the field and was second on the team with 46 steals. A First Team All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin pick, Huber was a D3hoops.com First Team All-Region selection and a four-time CCIW Player of the Week honoree.

Illinois Wesleyan begins the season at the Cornell College Tournament, Nov. 11-12.
