Yoder Named D3hoops.com Preseason All-American

Titans officially begin the season Nov. 10

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -
Senior Luke Yoder (Normal, Ill.-Central Catholic) of the Illinois Wesleyna University men's basketball team was recognized as part of the Preseason All-American teams released by D3hoops.com Tuesday, Oct. 31. Yoder, a fifth team honoree, was the only College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin student-athlete on the 25-player list. 

Yoder is back at IWU after a one-year stint at NCAA Division I North Dakota State, where he played in 21 games and made five starts. Prior to transferring to NDSU, Yoder was the 2020 CCIW Newcomer of the Year and a Second Team All-CCIW selection in 2022. In his third, and most recent, year with the Titans, the Normal, Ill. native helped lead IWU to an appearance in the Elite Eight. Yoder started all 30 games during the 2021-22 season, leading the team with 84 assists. He averaged 11.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest, while shooting 48.4 percent from the field.

Illinois Wesleyan is set for its final of two NCAA Division I exhibitions, as the Titans travel to DeKalb, Ill. to take on Northern Illinois University Wednesday, Nov. 1. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
