NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Sophomore Taylor French (Romeoville, Ill.-Plainfield East) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team earned her third College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Hitter of the Week award, announced by the league, Monday, Oct. 16. It marks the fifth weekly accolade of the sophomore's career. 

French dominated in IWU's three matches against a trio of ranked opponents over the course of Oct. 9-15. For the week, French recorded 58 kills on a whopping .281 attack percentage, an average of 4.46 kills per set, 48 digs, averaging 3.69 per set, five assists, three blocks, two aces, and finished all three matches with a double-double. 

Facing 18th-ranked North Park Wednesday night, Oct. 11, French exploded for a 21-kill, 21-dig double-double performance on a .315 attack percentage, while adding two assists and a block for the Green and White. Against No. 2 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Saturday, Oct. 14, French attacked one of the nation's best defenses, finishing with 18 kills on a .333 clip, and accumulated 17 digs and two blocks to round out her first double-double performance of the day. French closed her week with a 19-kill, 10-dig double-double against 12th-ranked Washington University in St. Louis Saturday, Oct. 14. Her performance at the WashU tournament earned the sophomore all-tournament honors. 

The Titans return to action Tuesday night, Oct. 17, hosting CCIW foe Elmhurst University. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Shirk Center.
