BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team is back at home for College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play, against North Central College Saturday, April 16. The Titans (3-10, 1-1 CCIW) will welcome NCC (3-9, 1-1 CCIW) inside Tucci Stadium for an 11 a.m. start.

IWU returns to the field after a lacrosse packed weekend Saturday-Sunday, April 9-10. The Titans played host to Augustana College, April 9, before heading north to the Windy City for a neutral-site match against east coast competitor Christopher Newport University, April 10.

IWU saw success against the Vikings as the Titans claimed their first league win of the season, 20-5. Playing against for CNU, the Titans suffered a 20-1 loss. North Central also last faced the Vikings, April 13 as the Cardinals earned their first CCIW win this season,15-4.

Junior Sarah Gleason (Park Ridge, Ill.-Maine South), who scored the Titans' solo-goal against CNU, leads the Green and White in goals with 24 this season. Gleason's 24 goals has beaten her previous season-high of 18 earned last season. The Park Ridge, Ill. native's five goals against Augustana in addition to her one goal against CNU, this past weekend, pushed her ahead to beat out her previous season-high.

Against the Cardinals, IWU holds the advantage in the all-time series, 7-1. The one game NCC bested the Titans was in IWU's inaugural 2015 season. The Cardinals defeated the Titans 19-12, but it marked the last time IWU lost at the hands of NCC.

The Green and White carried an eight-game win streak into its last bout with the Cardinals April, 14 2021 as IWU won, 21-12 in Cardinal territory. The last time NCC traveled to Bloomington was in 2018, where IWU was once again successful after a 19-4 victory, May 5 in the CCIW Tournament Championship game to give IWU its second-straight tournament title.
