Lansford Hauls in Second CCIW Player of the Week Award of the Season

Senior went off for career-high 32 points in win over Carthage, Feb. 5

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - A career performance landed Illinois Wesleyan University women's basketball senior Brooke Lansford (Leawood, Kan.-Blue Valley West) College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, Feb. 7. Lansford carried IWU to a 58-52 win over Carthage, Feb. 5, to keep the Titans tied atop the conference standings.

Lansford lit the Firebirds up for a career-high 32 points on 12-of-18 shooting. The Leawood, Kan. also knocked down 6-of-9 three-point attempts. She added two rebounds, two steals, and two assists, while not committing a turnover in 40 minutes of play.

The Titans travel to Decatur, Ill. tonight, Feb. 7, for a showdown with Millikin University at the Griswold Center. Tipoff between the two league leaders is scheduled for 7 p.m.
