McCauley Named CCIW Swimmer of the Week

Fourth time in his career earning the weekly honor

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Senior Mason McCauley (Deerfield, Ill.-Deerfield) of the Illinois Wesleyan University men's swimming and diving team was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Swimmer of the Week, announced Tuesday, Jan. 18. This is the fourth time in McCauley's career he has garnered the weekly award, and the third for the men this season.

McCauley led the way for the Green and White with two individual wins during a dual at Wabash College, Friday, Jan. 14.

The senior won each of his events on the day. Recording a season-best time of 9:53.60 in the 1000 yard freestyle, McCauley secured his first-place finish almost one minute and five seconds faster than the runner-up. The Deerfield, Ill. native also touched in at 1:59.81 in the 200 yard butterfly for his second individual win of the meet.

The Titans and McCauley travel to Decatur, Ill. this Friday, Jan. 21 for a dual meet against Millikin University at 6 p.m.
