Millikin Fall Invite Marks Beginning of Men’s Tennis Season

Eight returnees and three newcomers highlight 2021-22 roster

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team opens its 2021-22 season at the Millikin Fall Invitational Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 11-12.

IWU Head Coach Sam Totten enters his fourth year leading the Titans. The Green and White welcome back eight returnees and add three newcomers to the 2022 squad including, Zeke Cross (Springfield, Ill.-Springfield), Shanku Nair (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community), and Umid Rakhmonov.

The Titans finished their 2021 season 7-8 overall and with a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament appearance. IWU faced, at the time, third-seeded Carthage in the first round where the Firebirds ended the Titans' season, 6-1.
