Brady Rose, We Are D3 Open Tournament Play Friday Night on ESPN

WICHITA, Kan. - Former Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball star Brady Rose will open play in The Tournament as a member of the We Are D3 squad Friday night, July 16, at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. Rose and his team of former Division III student-athletes will take on third-seeded Team Challenge ALS in the Wichita Regional.

Making its third appearance all-time, We Are D3 enters the 64-team bracket as the No. 14 seed in the winner take all tourney. The winner of the opening round matchup will meet the winner of the Team Arkansas and Ft. Worth Funk (TCU alumni) in the second round. A full bracket can be found here.

Rose, who has been playing overseas since graduating from IWU in 2019, was a unanimous First Team All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin selection as a senior. That same season, he was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division III All-Central District Second Team, as well as the D3hoops.com All-Central Region Second Team.

The championship game will take place August 3 in Dayton, Ohio, with the winning team receiving a payout of one million dollars.
