Waukesha, Wis. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team dropped a back-and-forth affair 13-11 to Carroll University in its first conference match of the season Saturday, March 27. The Titans sit at 6-2 overall and move to 0-1 in the conference as CU holds a 6-1 overall record and is 1-0 in the conference.
In a game that saw the score tied on six occasions, sophomore
Sarah Gleason (Park Ridge, Ill.-Maine South) put the Titans up 11-10 with 14 minutes remaining in the second half. The Pioneers evened the score 11-11 before getting two free position goals late in the game to edge IWU, 13-11.

Bridget O'Malley (Chicago, Ill.-Marist) registered three goals each. O'Malley also put up one assist, two ground balls, and eight draw controls.
The Titans travel to Rock Island, Ill. to play Augustana College next Saturday, April 3 at 1 p.m.
