BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University's men's basketball team plays host to Millikin University Thursday, Feb. 25, in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action. Tipoff between the Titans and Big Blue is scheduled for 7 p.m.
    The Titans are 4-0 on the year and are up to No. 2 in the D3hoops.com poll. Most recently, IWU bested MU 74-60 in Decatur, Feb. 16. Millikin has slipped to 1-9 on the year and finds itself amid a three-game losing skid.

SENDING OFF THE SENIORS: Thursday night's game with the Big Blue will serve as Senior Night for Illinois Wesleyan's Charlie Bair, Colin Cheaney, Doug Wallen, and Grant Wolfe. The four seniors, who have helped the Titans to 43 wins in their time on campus, will be recognized following the conclusion of the game.
HOT SHOTS: The Titans are the most efficient offense in the CCIW, as the Green and White lead the league in field goal percentage (.510) and three-point field goal percentage (.456). Nationally, IWU is fifth in three-point field goal percentage and ninth in overall field goal percentage.
    More impressively, four Titans top the league statistical leaders in field goal percentage. Doug Wallen leads the conference at .708, while Cory Noe (.630), Matthew Leritz (.619), and Keondre Schumacher (.600) rank second, third, and fourth, respectively. From the long line, Schumacher is converting a CCIW-best 68.4 of his attempts, while Noe (.583) and Leritz (.545) round out the top-three. Schumacher's impressive 68.4 three-point field goal percentage leads the NCAA (Division I, II, and III).
BATTLING THE BIG BLUE: The Titans hold a commanding 155-78 lead in the all-time series with the Big Blue, a rivalry that dates back over 100 years. Illinois Wesleyan has won the past nine contests and has only one regular season loss to Millikin in the past decade.
    Illinois Wesleyan bested Millikin, 74-60, when the two tangled in Decatur, Feb. 16. Matthew Leritz led the Titans with 16 points, while Doug Wallen and Keondre Schumacher added 15 and 14 points, respectively.
LONG-STANDING RIVALRY: IWU and Millikin have met on 233 occasions, with the first match-up held in the 1909-10 season. The 232 total contests rank second in Division III men's basketball in most-played rivalries. The Titans hold a 155-78 advantage against the Big Blue all-time.
HOLDING STEADY AT NO. 2: In the fourth D3Hoops Poll of the season, the Titans maintained their No. 2 ranking. It is the highest rank for IWU since it entered at No. 2 in the 2013-14 preseason poll. Illinois Wesleyan and Wheaton (No. 4) represented the CCIW in the rankings.
HISTORY = MADE: With the Titan's win against North Park Friday, Feb. 12, head coach Ron Rose passed the legendary Jack Horenberger on the all-time wins list. Rose is now second on the list with a 265-129 record over his 14 year career as head men's basketball coach. IWU legend Dennie Bridges sits atop the list with a career record of 667-319 during his 36 years at the helm.
ON THE HORIZON: IWU hits the road Saturday, Feb. 27, for a battle with the Vikings of North Park. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
