Titans play eighth-ranked Wheaton Saturday, Dec. 11, on the road

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team checked in at No. 3 in the week two D3hoops.com Top-25, as announced by the organization Monday night, Dec. 6. It is the 174th all-time appearance in the poll for the Titans, the ninth-most all-time.

IWU is 7-0 on the season after picking up wins against Chicago and Carroll, Dec. 1-4. The Titans overpowered the Maroons 83-50, Dec. 1, before beginning College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play with a 63-44 defeat of the Pioneers, Dec. 4. 

Yeshiva topped the poll for the second consecutive week, garnering 13 first-place votes and 603 points. Randolph Macon (8-1) edged IWU for second with 591 points and eight first-place nods, while Illinois Wesleyan received three-first place votes and totaled 590 points. UW-Platteville (563) and St. Joseph's (487) rounded out the top-five, respectively. 

The Titans were one of three CCIW schools to appear in the top-25, with Elmhurst sitting in seventh and Wheaton eighth. 

Illinois Wesleyan returns to action Saturday, Dec. 11, for a top-10 matchup at eighth-ranked Wheaton College. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. inside King Arena.
