BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's and men's swimming and diving teams head to Rock Island, Ill. for a dual with Augustana College Saturday, Nov. 6. The meet will start at 1 p.m. inside Anne Greve Lund Natatorium.

The Titans are to compete in their third meet of the year after completing a tri-meet against Division II Lewis University and Division II University Missouri-St. Louis, Oct. 22, in the Green and White's season opener. Most recently, the Titans hosted its annual Halloween Invite Oct. 30, where Rose-Hulman women's team, North Central, and Millikin attended.

IWU was successful in its invite as both the men's and women's squads took home team victories. Individually, the Titans saw eight wins on the men's side and four on the women's.

Junior Shannon Murphy (Medinah, Ill.-Lake Park) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Co-Swimmer of the week, announced Wednesday Nov. 3 after her results during the invite, Oct. 30. The junior recorded a personal-best time of 1:05.47 in her split during the 100 butterfly relay. Murphy also recorded a career-best in the 200 freestyle touching in at 2:07.03. In the 100 individual medley (1:08.23) she was one second off her career-best, which she established a week prior. This is Murphy's first weekly award in her career and the first for the Titans this season.

Augustana will welcome the Titans after its season opener against Monmouth College, Oct. 23. Both the men's and women's team secured their first win of the season, outscoring the Fighting Scots 187-18 on the women's side and 179-24 on the men's.

The meet will be available via livestream here and results from the day will be posted on iwusports.com following the completion of the meet.
