NAPERVILLE, Ill.- After notching a triple-double in the Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team's lone match of the week, senior setter Madi Corey (Frankfort, Ill. - Lincoln-Way East) hauled in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Setter of the Week award, announced by the league office Tuesday, Nov. 2. It is the third time in her career, and her second time this season that Corey has been honored with this award. She most recently claimed it Oct. 12.

The Frankfort, Ill. native led Illinois Wesleyan with a triple-double, her second of the year, to secure the CCIW regular season championship. Corey concluded the regular season with a monster game that included 10 kills, 11 digs, and 20 assists to lead IWU to its first regular season title since 2018 with a three-set sweep of CCIW preseason favorite Carthage, Oct. 27.

In her three sets played, she averaged 3.33 kills per set, 1.33 aces per set, 6.67 assists per set, and 4.67 points per set. With her work distributing the ball and orchestrating the Illinois Wesleyan attack, the Titans hit a whopping .236 for the match against the Firebirds.

The Green and White will enjoy a first-round bye in the CCIW Tournament before returning to action as host of a semifinal match Thursday, Nov. 4. IWU will play either fourth-seeded Wheaton or fifth-seeded Millikin inside the Shirk Center at 7 p.m.
