NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team was represented by senior
Zack Kokes (Naperville, Ill) and junior
Dane Hoare (Chicago, Ill.-Von Steuben) as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced its postseason teams Tuesday, Nov. 2. Both Kokes and Hoare garnered Second Team All-CCIW honors, the first postseason accolade in each of their careers.
Kokes tops the Titans with eight goals and 17 points over 15 matches. He has proven to be one of the top offensive threats in the CCIW as he ranks sixth in the league in goal, sixth in points per game (1.13), and is tied for eighth in shots per game (2.33). Kokes has produced three multi-goal games this season and was named the CCIW's Offensive Player of the Week, Oct. 19.
Hoare has come through in the clutch for the Green and White all season long. He has notched three goals and a pair of assists over 15 matches. All three of his goals have served as game-winners for the Titans, and have him slotted fifth in the CCIW in the statistical category.
Illinois Wesleyan enters CCIW Tournament play as the No. 3 seed and will begin play with a semifinal bout against second-seeded North Central College. Match time is set for 7:30 p.m. in Naperville, Ill.
