BLOOMINGTON, Ill.-
Senior Jessica McCall (Wayne, Ill.-Wheaton St. Francis) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America All-District 7 team Thursday, Nov. 18. This is McCall's first Academic All-District selection. She
will now advance to the Academic All-America ballot.

McCall is the first women's volleyball player to be selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team since Tyler Brown and Rachel Burkman did so in 2018.

With a 3.85 grade point average in elementary education, the Wayne, Ill. native put together an outstanding senior season. She appeared in 112 sets, finished the season second on the team with 235 kills and 301 digs, produced a .152 hitting percentage for the year, and notched a total of 38 blocks. The senior accumulated season-highs with 15 kills, three assists, four aces, and 18 digs. A co-captain, she led the Titans to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin regular season and tournament titles.

McCall saw five awards come her way for her tremendous efforts. She was named AVCA Division III Player of the Week, Nov. 9, after posting a pair of double-doubles in CCIW tournament sweeps of fifth-seeded Millikin and second-seeded Carthage. McCall went for 15 kills and 14 digs, hitting a whopping .378, to send IWU into the tournament championship. She followed that up with a 12-kill, 18-dig double-double against Carthage to secure IWU's first CCIW Tournament Championship since 2018.

Additionally, she was named to the All-Tournament team at the Captains Classic, the All-Tournament team at the Holiday Inn Classic III Oct. 23, named CCIW's Offensive "Player of the Week" after having totaled 35 kills, 27 digs, two blocks, and four aces in leading the Titans to a 2-1 record Oct. 22-23, and was named to the All-CCIW First Team.
