NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Senior Zack Kokes (Naperville, Ill.-Naperville Central) of the Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week, Tuesday, Oct. 18. This is Kokes first CCIW Player of the Week honor of his career.

The Naperville, Ill. native is the first men's soccer player this season to win the weekly award since Patrick Hickey picked up the offensive honor Nov. 5, 2019.

Kokes was an offensive threat during the Titans matches this past week against D3soccer.com's No. 14 North Central College, Oct. 13, and Augustana College, Oct. 16. The senior had a game-high in shots with four and a game-high shots on goal with two against nationally-ranked NCC.

Against Augustana, Kokes scored two goals, including IWU's second goal of the day to put the Green and White up 2-0 only seven minutes into the game. The Titans were up 4-0 in the second half before the Vikings scored on a PK. The senior quickly stepped up and responded for the Green and White scoring just two minutes later for his second goal of the night.

In addition to Kokes four-point day, the Naperville, Ill. native had a total of three shots in total and on target for a 1.00 shots on goal percentage. With Kokes' two goals, the Titans defeated the Vikings 5-2, with a season-high five goals over the Vikings, the most they have ever scored on Augie in a single game.

Kokes and the Titans are home for a CCIW game against Elmhurst University Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Neis Field. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff following the women's game right before.
