BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) tabbed
Patrick Murphy (Palatine, Ill.-St. Viator)Â as USILA/Warrior and New Balance Scholar All-Americans, the organization announced on Friday evening, June 26.

Murphy, who graduated with a degree in accounting, was the only College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin student-athlete named to the 80-man list. The Palatine, Ill. native served as captain for the Titans in 2019 and 2020 and picked up CCIW Defensive Player of the Week honors, March 16. A First Team All-CCIW selection in 2019, Murphy was a three-year letterwinner for IWU. Murphy played in 45 games, scoring 30 goals and adding 11 assists for a total of 41 points. He also recorded 108 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.
Established in 1989, A Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale). He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player.
