Miller Hauls in CCIW Offensive Player of the Week

Third weekly award by a Titan this season

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Sophomore Owen Miller (Brookfield, Wis.-Brookfield Central) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday, March 31, after leading the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team to a pair of non-conference wins. 

Miller earned the conference's weekly award for the first time in his career. He is the third Titan to reel in a CCIW accolade this season, joining Timothy McHugh (March 10) and Billy McHugh (Feb. 17). 

Miller totaled 10 points, an average of five per game, on seven goals, averaging 3.5 per contest, and three assists over the two-game week. He added five ground balls and caused a turnover. 

Opening the week with a 17-6 win at Wabash College Wednesday, March 25, Miller notched a career-high four goals and five points, along with scooping up a ground ball in a game that the Titan offense dominated. Miller followed with one goal and a career-best three assists for four points, four ground balls, and a caused turnover in the 14-9 victory over Calvin University Saturday, March 28.

Illinois Wesleyan returns to action Saturday, April 4, for a CCIW clash with North Central College. Game time is set for 4 p.m. and will serve as the back end of a doubleheader with the IWU women's lacrosse team.
