BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team returns to action after completing the fall season with a 3-0 overall record, its best season start since the 2013-14 campaign, Saturday, Feb. 8, as host to Wisconsin Lutheran and Principia College. The matches will be held at Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Ill. with a 3 p.m. first serve against Wisconsin Lutheran, followed by a matchup with Principia at 6 p.m.
Freshman
Carter Burk (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal U High) will resume action with a 4-2 record at No. 3 singles. Senior
Michael Behrensmeyer (Champaign, Ill.-St. Thomas More HS) concluded the fall season with a 4-2 record at No. 6 singles and at No. 3 doubles alongside junior
Dylan Mikaili (Napperville, Ill.-Waubonsie Valley HS).
The Titans will square off with Wisconsin Lutheran for the first time in program stored history, while IWU last faced Principia in 2015. In that meeting, Illinois Wesleyan dropped a tight 5-4 decision.
