Men’s Tennis Sets Sights on Concordia-Chicago

First dual meet of the fall

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team takes the court for its first dual meet, Sunday, Sept. 20 at Evergreen Racquet Club against Concordia University-Chicago. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. This is the first meeting between the Titans and the Cougars.

The Green and White is coming off of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin fall invitational where IWU had Lucas Rudd (Edwardsville, Ill.-Edwardsville) and Owen Collins (Boca Raton, Fla.-Grandview Preparatory School) earned third place at No. 4 doubles. In singles, IWU had three fifth place finishes from freshmen Umar Bajwa (Wheaton, Ill.-St. Francis), Tommy Sopko (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora Township) and Collins.

CUC will take on Olivet Nazarene University in its first match of the year, Friday, Sept. 18, before facing the Titans.

Results will be available on iwusports.com at the conclusion of the match.
