BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- Four first-place finishes were collected by sophomore Mason McCauley (Deerfield, Ill.-Deerfield HS) and freshman Dillon Cherwin (Huntley, Ill.-Huntley HS) in clash with Wabash College Friday, Jan. 10, although the Illinois Wesleyan University men's swimming and diving team fell by a score of 224-53. 

McCauley clocked a time of 9:56.40 in the 1000 yard freestyle, shaving nearly 32 seconds off his previous season best time. He also posted a first-place finish in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:03.38. Cherwin turned a time of 55.59 in the 100 yard backstroke and 4:16.46 in the 400 yard individual medley, finishing six seconds ahead of following opponent and to claim first-place honors. 

The men's and women's swimming and diving teams resume action Saturday, Jan. 11. The Titans are set to travel to Terre Haute, Ind. to battle with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a 12 p.m. ET first swim.  Live stream for meet against Rose-Hulman can be found here.
