WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Senior
Claudia Richman scored five goals to lead the Illinois Wesleyan women's lacrosse team to its eighth straight win, a 15-4 victory over Carroll University on Saturday, April 20, at Schneider Stadium in Waukesha, Wis.
Building up a 9-1 lead after the first half, Illinois Wesleyan is 13-2 overall and 5-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while Carroll University is now 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the CCIW.
Illinois Wesleyan outshot the Pioneers, 29-21, and had 25 shots on goal compared to 14 for Carroll. In addition to Richman, freshman
Landry Elliott scored four times and six other Titans each added one goal. Landry, seniors
Dani Engelbreit and
Grainne Kelly each had two assists.
Illinois Wesleyan held a 30-27 edge in ground balls as Engelbreit had a team-high eight. IWU, who admitted to 24 turnovers, was successful on 21-of-27 clear attempts

Janaye Godfrey made eight saves in the first 47:31 minutes and
Sydney MacDonald made two in the final 12:29.
