BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team dropped its College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opener to Wheaton College, 76-60, Wednesday night, Dec. 4, inside the Shirk Center. With the loss, the Titans are now 5-2 overall and 0-1 in the CCIW, while Wheaton improved to 5-2 and 1-0 in league play.

Luke Yoder (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic), and senior
Alex O'Neill (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Christian) tied for the team lead with nine points apiece. O'Neill was also IWU's top rebounder with nine boards.
Shooting woes plagued the Titans as IWU converted just 38.1 percent of its shot attempts, and just 5-of-27 three-pointer tries. Wheaton connected on 52.7 percent of its field goals and knocked down eight triples.
IWU looks to bounce back Saturday night, Dec. 7, when it hosts Carthage College in CCIW play. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will serve as the second leg of a doubleheader with the IWU women's basketball team.
