BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan women's 4x100 freestyle relay team set a pool record swimming against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in a dual meet at Fort Natatorium on Saturday, Jan. 26.
The IWU team of
Ellen Gilbert,
Megan Wong,
Lisa Cheng and
Lucy Saucedo had a first-place time of 3:39.66, topping the mark of 3:40.22 set by a Wheaton College team in 1996.
In the meet, the IWU women were winners over Rose-Hulman by a score of 202-67 while the No. 40-ranked Rose-Hulman men's team claimed a 191-85 win over Illinois Wesleyan.
Freshman
Alec Marquardt achieved a regional qualifying score of 281.45 in winning the 1 meter diving.
