ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Winning its first four games for the third consecutive season, the No. 19-ranked Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team withstood all comebacks in defeating Washington U. in St. Louis, Mo., on Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Brady Rose netted 33 points, his third straight 30+ point effort, to lead all scorers while senior
Colin Bonnett added 12 points with five assists and sophomore
Doug Wallen scored 10 points and also had five assists.
Battling foul trouble, sophomore
Charlie Bair led the Titans in rebounding for the fourth straight game, corralling seven boards.
Illinois Wesleyan led by as many as 20 points (52-32) and enjoyed a 17-point halftime lead of 52-35 by shooting a blistering .700 from the field in the first 20 minutes, making 21 of 30 from the field, including nine of 15 3-pointers.
For WashU (now 1-2 this season), Justin Hardy scored 28 points and had eight rebounds, tying for game-high honors with Hank Hunter as the Bears outrebounded IWU by a 32-28 margin.

Illinois Wesleyan will return to St. Louis to meet 0-4 Westminster (Mo.) in the Webster University Classic at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23 at Webster's Grant Gymnasium ... The Blue Jays lost to Coe on Nov. 20, 72-56, and have also lost to Millikin on Nov. 15, 74-69 ... On Saturday, IWU will meet Webster (3-1) at 3 p.m. The Gorloks have a 72-64 home court win over WashU and a 79-74 overtime win over Eastern (Pa.) University on Sunday.
