BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team won for the 15th straight time and now has 20 victories for the fifth consecutive season with a three set decision over Coe College at the Shirk Center as part of the Holiday Inn Express Classic III on Friday, Oct. 26.
Winning by scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-21, the Titans are 20-5 overall and the Kohawks slipped to 18-10.
Senior
Tyler Brown led IWU with 11 kills and had 12 digs while senior
Rachel Burkman added 10 kills with eight digs. Freshman
Bev Ryan provided six kills as the Titans hit .327, sixth best for the season, with 44 total kills in 104 attempts and only 10 errors.
Senior
Leah Seielstad had a team-high 20 assists and freshman
Madi Corey added 18.
Sophomore
Jessica McCall had 12 digs and senior
Heidi Dague had six blocks with Burkman and senior
Emily Chapman adding three each.
What's Next?
Illinois Wesleyan continues play in the tournament with matches on Saturday at 10 a.m. against Nebraska Wesleyan and 2 p.m. against Cornell College.
