BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan senior
Tyler Brown became the school's all-time kills leader as the Titans tied a school record with their 11th straight win in a three-set decision over Carroll at the Shirk Center on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
No. 15-ranked IWU improved to 16-5 overall and 7-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in the 25-21, 25-20, 25-18 decision. The record of 11 straight wins was set in 1988. Carroll is now 15-9 overall and 3-2 in the CCIW.
Brown had 13 kills and now has 1,616 in her career, topping the previous mark of 1,614 by Kellie Schmidt (1996-99).
Senior
Rachel Burkman led IWU with 15 kills, three blocks and also had 13 digs and senior
Anna Clausen added five kills. Brown provided 19 digs and freshman
Amber Juarez had 14.
Senior
Leah Seielstad made a team-best 21 assists and freshman
Madi Corey gave out 18.
What's Next?
Illinois Wesleyan plays in the Concordia (Wis.) Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Mequon, Wis. The Titans take on Wis.-River Falls on Friday and play Concordia and Wis.-Oshkosh on Saturday.
