ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- After losing the first set, the No. 13-ranked Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team rolled through the final three sets to win for the 10th straight time, defeating Augustana College at the Carver Center in Rock Island, Ill., on Friday, Oct. 12.
The Titans lost the first set 21-25, then came back to win 25-22, 25-14, 25-12 to improve to 15-5 overall and 6-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. Augustana is 12-11 overall and 2-3 against the league.
Seniors
Rachel Burkman and
Tyler Brown each had 15 kills and senior
Heidi Dague had 11 kills with three blocks. Brown had a .344 hitting mark (15 kills, 32 tries, four errors) and Dague was at .333 (11 kills, 21 attempts, four errors) as the team posted a .333 attack percentage (60 kills, 135 attempts, 15 kills).
In 424 sets, Brown now has 1,603 career kills and is 11 away from tying the school record of 1,614 set by Kellie Schmidt in 513 sets from 1996-99. Burkman is No. 13 with 1,122 career kills.
Senior
Leah Seielstad had 31 set assists, her season high for a four-set match, along with 11 digs and freshman
Madi Corey had 15 assists and two service aces.
Brown, who ranks No. 3 all-time at IWU with 1,772 career digs, had 20 digs against the Vikings and sophomore
Jessica McCall had 14.

Illinois Wesleyan hosts Carroll University on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. in the "Seniors' Night" match.
