D3hoops.com Top 25

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball team has been tabbed No. 19 in the preseason poll released by D3hoops.com on Thursday, Oct. 11.

The Titans received 142 votes in the poll. Defending champion Nebraska Wesleyan received 24 first place votes and 624 points to lead the rankings, followed by Wis.-Oshkosh with 567 points and Augustana with 539 points and the other first-place vote.

The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly. Points are awarded on a 25-24-23-22-etc. basis.

Illinois Wesleyan finished with a 19-8 overall record and went 12-4 during College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play, tying for the league championship. The Titans open with an exhibition game at Illinois-Chicago on Thursday, Nov. 1, before playing at the University of Illinois on Friday, Nov. 2. IWU's regular season begins with a home game on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. against the University of Chicago. Go here for the entire IWU schedule.
