NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- With a .351 hitting percentage, their second best of the season, the No. 13-ranked Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team won its ninth straight match, taking a three-set decision at North Central College on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Gregory Arena in Naperville, Ill.
The Titans, winners of 16 straight sets, took the games by scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-17, to improve to 14-5 overall and 5-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Cardinals are 2-15 overall and 0-4 against CCIW opponents.
IWU had 43 kills in 94 attempts with 10 errors for its .351 attack mark while North Central hit .065 with 22 kills in 93 tries with 16 errors.
Senior
Rachel Burkman paced IWU with 14 kills, 10 digs and three service aces. Senior
Tyler Brown had 12 kills and seven digs and freshman libero
Amber Juarez joined Burkman with 10 digs.
Brown now has 1,588 career kills, just 26 short of tying the IWU school record of 1,614 set by Kellie Schmidt (1996-99).
Sophomore
Jessica McCall had five kills and two service aces and senior
Heidi Dague led the team with four total blocks.
Senior
Leah Seielstad had 20 set assists and freshman
Madi Corey had 13.

Illinois Wesleyan continues CCIW play on Friday, Oct. 12 with a match at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill.
