Franklin vs. Illinois Wesleyan Swim Results
FRANKLIN, Ind. -- The Illinois Wesleyan men's and women's swim teams lost in dual meets at Franklin College in Saturday, Jan. 27. The Grizzlies beat the IWU women, 202-79, while Franklin's men were 185-78 winners over the Titans.
Junior
Lisa Cheng was the lone winner for the Illinois Wesleyan women, taking first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.35 seconds.
The Titan men had individual event wins from senior
Rob Houle in the 100 freestyle in 49.85 seconds and sophomore
Will Garcia in ythe 500 freestyle with a clocking of 4:49.36. The men's 200 free relay team of Houle, Garcia, sophomore
Will Brinkmann and freshman
Nick Partipilo was a first-place finisher in a time of 1:32.95.
What's Next?
The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin diving championships will be on Saturday, Feb. 10 at IWU's Fort Natatorium and the next action for the entire team will be in the CCIW championships Feb. 15-17 at the Recplex in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.
