GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The Illinois Wesleyan women's lacrosse team outshot DePauw 26-14 and had 44 ground balls to 31 for the Tigers but IWU ended up on the short end of a 7-6 decision at Reavis Stadium in Greencastle, Ind., on Tuesday, March 7.
The Titans are now 2-2 this season and this was the season-opener for DePauw.
In a game that was tied at every score up to 4-4, the Tigers opened up a two-goal lead at 6-4 with 15:13 remaining in the game and held onto the lead throughout the rest of the contest.

Maggie Krause each getting one goal.

Junior goalkeeper
Claire Quist had five saves in the game that saw IWU with 20 shots on goal compared to 12 for DePauw. IWU committed 25 turnovers to 28 for the Tigers.
Taylor Summers had three goals and Emma Flynn had two goals to lead the Tigers.

The Titans embark on a three-game West Coast spring trip, first playing at Pomona Pitzer in Claremont, Calif., on Sunday, March 12 at 11 a.m. Pacific time.
