LISLE, Ill. – Sophomore midfielder
Sam Bidlack set a school single-game record with seven assists to help the Illinois Wesleyan women's lacrosse team to a 19-3 win over Benedictine University on Saturday, March 4, at the University Sports Complex in Lisle, Ill.
The Titans improved to 2-1 this season and the Eagles are 0-1.
Bidlack's seven assists topped the mark of six set by
Lauren Pavich (at Ferrum, March 15, 2016). Bidlack also had a goal in the game and her eight total points tied Pavich's single-game record.
Sophomore
Grainne Kelly had five goals, one short of the single-game record, while senior
Maggie Krause and sophomore
Claudia Richman each poured in three goals.

Sara Dust had two goals while junior
Abby Kushina, sophomore
Dani Engelbreit, and freshmen
Daisy Guerrero,
Amanda Best and
Kelsey Blanchard each tallied one goal.
Illinois Wesleyan, who scored the first 10 goals in the game, outshot Benedictine 31-7 and the 19-goal output is tied for third most in an IWU game. The Titans had a 16-10 edge in ground balls and won 18 draw controls to four for the Eagles.
Junior
Claire Quist was the winner in goal, making four saves.

Illinois Wesleyan plays at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., at 7 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, March 7. It will be the season-opener for the Tigers.
