BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- There will be a celebration to honor the 20th anniversary of the 1997 Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball NCAA Division III championship team at halftime of the men's game vs. Carroll on Saturday, Feb. 4.

In addition to the team being honored, Saturday night will also feature the 2016 IWU football team singing the National Anthem prior to the men's game and it is the annual "Pink Zone" game with money being raised for the Bloomington-Normal Community Cancer Center. The IWU women meet Carroll at 5 p.m. that evening, also a "Pink Zone" game.
 
Coached by Dennie Bridges, the 1997 team finished with a 29-2 overall record (13-1 in winning the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) and defeated Nebraska Wesleyan, 89-86, for the championship. Team captain Bryan Crabtree was chosen as the Division III "Player of the Year" as he averaged 22.6 points per game.

ANDREW BOYDEN - Intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy, lives in Virginia Beach, Va. Married to Ann with three sons - Scott, Matthew and Joshua.

BUCK CONDILL – Assistant principal, Thoreau Middle School, Vienna, Va. (Washington DC area). Married to Shana (Bushyhead '99) with two children - Benjamin and Ayla.

KOREY COON – General manager for global small bulldozer and mini excavator business, Caterpillar Global in Raleigh, N.C. Married to Heidi with three sons - Berkley, Becktt, Paxton - and a daughter, Presley.

BRYAN CRABTREE - Financial advisor, Crabtree Financial Services, Normal, Ill. Married to Jenna (Meyer '98, former IWU basketball player) with three daughters - Alayna, Adriana and Ava.

JERRY HAPP – Global Investment Solutions, Deutsche Bank, Birmingham, England. Has lived in England since August 2010. Married to Christina (Favia '01) with three children - Roscoe, Claire, and Luke.

MATT HODER – Teaches English and is a golf coach at Normal Community West High School. Married to Christa with three daughters - Charis, Brynn and Finley.

NATHAN HUBBARD – Country Financial agent, Champaign, Ill. Married to Sara with a son, Leo.

MATT MANN -  Homeowners claims manager with AAA Insurance and lives in LeRoy, Ill. Married to Dyan with two children - Logan and Parker.

BRENT NIEBRUGGE - Account executive for Salesforce.com; lives in Arlington Heights, Ill. Married to Donna with three children - Anna, Nicole and Paul.

JASON OSBORN – Finance manager at Bloomington's State Farm Insurance. Married to Laura (Johnson '07) with five children - Jackson, Brodie, Owen, Avery, and Aria.

TONY PACETTI – Business owner in Bloomington, Ill. Married to Joan with two children - Owen and Walter.

MIKE POPE - Since 2012, has been assistant principal for student support services at Round Lake (Ill.) High School; was previously boys' basketball coach at Blue Ridge High School in Farmer City, Ill.

MIKE ROGERS – Works as solution architect in higher education sector for Oracle software company and lives in Chicago.

KYLE TUDEEN – NPI coordinator in marketing and digital division at Caterpillar in Peoria; lives in Dunlap, Ill. Married to Beth (Michelet '97, former IWU soccer player) with two children - Jack and Abby.

SETH ZELLER – President and CEO for the family business, Zeller Electric, Inc.; lives in El Paso, Ill. Married to Katie with three children - Finn, Juno and Hart.
