OSHKOSH, Wis. -- Juniors
Tyler Brown and
Maddie Williams were named to the all-tournament team as the No. 18-ranked Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team knocked off No. 7 Wis.-Whitewater and Wis.-Eau Claire on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Wis.-Oshkosh Women's Volleyball Invitational at the Kolf Sports Center.

The Titans improved to 18-6 as they beat Wis.-Whitewater in four sets, 25-21, 25-18, 24-26, 26-24, and then downed the Blugolds in three sets, 25-19, 25-21, 27-25.
Against Whitewater, Brown had 15 kills and 19 defensive digs while junior
Rachel Burkman had 11 kills and a team-high 21 digs. Senior
Kyleigh Block made 10 kills and gathered in 18 digs with two blocks and tied Burkman with three service aces. Williams also had two total blocks.
Sophomore
Kira Jackson had 31 assists, her second-highest match total of the season, and freshman
Caitlin Meyer had 17.
In the match, Titan players accumuated 56 kills in 154 attempts with 24 errors for a .208 hitting percentage while the Warhawks hit .139 with 43 kills and 20 errors in 166 tries.
Brown had team-leading numbers of 12 kills and 15 digs against Wis.-Eau Claire. Block and Williams each had nine kills with Block making three total blocks, two aces and getting 13 digs.
Illinois Wesleyan was led in blocks by junior
Heidi Dague with five and senior
Anne Cummings had 12 digs.
With 25 assists, Jackson led the team while Meyer made 16.
IWU had its sixth-highest hitting percentage of the year at .288 against Wis.-Eau Claire with 45 kills and 13 errors in 111 efforts while limiting the Blugolds to 27 kills and 17 miscues in 114 attempts for a .088 hitting percentage, the fourth lowest by an IWU opponent in 2017.

Illinois Wesleyan resumes play next weekend and hosts the six-team
Barker Classic III at the Shirk Center on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28. IWU plays Friday night at 7:30 against Coe College.
