CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team won its seventh straight match in taking a 3-1 decision by scores of 26-24, 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, at the University of Chicago on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The Titans are now 7-1 while the Maroons slipped to 3-4. Illinois Wesleyan and Chicago each had 198 kill attempts in the four-set match with the Titans hitting .146 on 57 kills compared to the Maroons' .116 hitting percentage on 50 kills.
Sophomore
Tyler Brown paced the IWU attack with 18 kills while also providing 36 digs and three total blocks. The 36 digs is the third most by an IWU player in a four-set match dating back to 2002. The four-set record is 38 by Loryn Bruer against Carthage on Sept. 21, 2013.
Junior
Kyleigh Block had 13 kills and 18 digs and sophomore
Rachel Burkman had 10 kills, three blocks and two service aces.

Alexa Cornish had 27 digs in the four-set match.
