BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan women's lacrosse team will host North Central in the semifinals of the 2016 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Women's Lacrosse Tournament at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Tucci Stadium.
Admission for the lacrosse semifinal game is $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, youths (14 and under) with children 5 and under and CCIW students with a valid ID admitted free.
The No. 2-seeded Titans (14-3 overall, 4-2 CCIW) host No. 3 seed North Central (13-4, 4-2 CCIW) in a rematch of a regular season contest on April 23, which Illinois Wesleyan won 10-7. The Cardinals are making their second-straight tournament appearance, while the Titans will make their first-ever appearance.
In the other semifinal, top-seeded Augustana College (15-2, 6-0 CCIW) will host No. 4 seed Carthage College (10-5, 4-2 CCIW) as Augustana enters having won its second-straight regular season title, including an 18-7 win over the Lady Reds on April 16. The Vikings are also the defending conference tournament champion as both teams met in the 2015 title game.
Wednesday's winners will move onto Saturday's championship contest, which will be held at the highest remaining seed at a time to be determined.
