BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan led wire-to-wire to capture the championship game of the Frontier Communications Tip-Off Tournament by an 85-64 score over Loras College at the Shirk Center on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The Titans improved to 3-0 while the Duhawks are 2-1.

Colin Bonnett was named the tournament's "Most Valuable Player" and was joined on the all-tournament team by senior
Andy Stempel. Bonnett led IWU against Loras with 19 points while Stempel added nine points and handed out a team-high three assists.
Senior
Trevor Seibring scored 15 points and snared a game-best 10 rebounds, senior
Alec Bausch scored 13 points and junior
Brady Rose netted 10 points in a game that saw the Titans outscore Loras, 21-6, in points off turnovers. IWU forced 16 miscues while committing 10.
Illinois Wesleyan scored the first nine points of the game and Loras got within five at 9-4 with 17:02 to go in the first half. But the Titans went on a 12-0 run to get a 21-4 lead with 11:21 before half. The IWU lead was 25 at 44-19 before a late Loras basket left it 44-22 at intermission. IWU's largest advantage was of 29 points (62-33) with 14:25 remaining.
IWU outscored Loras off the bench, 26-14, and the Titans scored 32 of their points in the paint compared to 20 for the Duhawks. Loras held a 45-44 rebounding edge in the game.
The Duhawks got 23 points from all-tournament choice Justin VanWambeke and Christian Mathis added 13.

Illinois Wesleyan hosts MacMurray at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at the Shirk Center.
