BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team defeated Carroll University (Wis.) on Tuesday, October 4 by a final score of 3-1 (25-19, 25-15, 18-25, 25-12). Sophomore
Tyler Brown led the Titans with 20 kills and 16 digs.
With a victory the Titans improved to 11-5, 3-1 CCIW on the season while the Pioneers fell to 5-14, 0-3 in their first season back in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Raina Emery who each tallied 16. Block and sophomore
Rachel Burkman each notched 11 kills in addition.
Senior
Colleen Rynne led the match with 35 assists, while freshman
Kira Jackson added 16 assists of her own. The setting duo helped the Titans to a .325 attacking percentage. Brown was the match leader in attacking percentage at .567.
The Titans won sets one, two and four decisively but fell off the wagon in set three. Up 2-0 the Titans found themselves in a hole hitting .071 in set three with six errors. IWU bounced back in set four however hitting a match-high .452 to oust the Pioneers.
Illinois Wesleyan held a significant advantage in side-outs during the sets they won, converting on 36-of-47 chances (.765).
What's Next?
This weekend the Barker Classic II gets underway on Friday, Oct. 7 with a match between Illinois Wesleyan and Augustana College (Ill.). First serve is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Shirk Center. In addition, the Titans will face Lincoln Christian University and Plymouth State University this weekend.
