BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team split a pair of Friday (Oct. 28) matches at the Barker Classic III, defeating Anderson University in three sets before losing to DePauw University in four sets at the Shirk Center.
The Titans downed Anderson, 25-12, 25-15, 25-14, and lost to DePauw, 25-14, 24-26, 22-25, 28-30. IWU's record is now 17-9.
Against DePauw (who improved to 20-4), sophomore
Rachel Burkman led the team with 21 kills while sophomore
Tyler Brown added 15 kills and had a team-high 24 digs. Junior
Kyleigh Block had 22 digs and sophomore
Leah Seielstad had 21 digs and procided 20 set assists.
Senior
Colleen Rynne had 26 assists to lead IWU.
The Titans hit .213 in the match with 65 kills in 202 attacks with 22 errors. The Tigers had 57 kills and 18 errors in 176 attempts for a .222 hitting mark.

Illinois Wesleyan hosts Nebraska Wesleyan at 10 a.m. and Dominican at 2 p.m. on Saturday action in the Barker Classic III at the Shirk Center.
