Pavich Scores Six Goals in IWU Women Lacrosse Win

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan junior Lauren Pavich pumped in six goals as the Titans' women's lacrosse team eased to a 15-5 win over Illinois Institute of Technology at Tucci Stadium on Tuesday, March 17.

The Titans improved to 5-2 with the win while the Scarlet Hawks are now 1-2.

In addiition to Pavich, Abby Kushina scored three goals while Maisie Cox, Clarke Rich and Maggie Krause all scored a pair of goals.

Cox provided two assists with Kushina, Pavich, Krause and Sophia Sodolski each adding a helper.

Freshman defender Jenny Swanson, forced into a start as goalkeeper for ailing Claire Quist, made 10 saves in net for the Titans and evened her keeping record at 1-1.

IWU outshot Illinois Tech 25-20 and each team collected 20 ground balls.

Illinois Wesleyan travels to play Albion College (Mich.) on Saturday, March 21, at 3:30 p.m. ET.
