BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan gave an impressive performance on the night when the seniors were honored and "Dennie Bridges Court" was christened, beating Elmhurst 96-66 at the Shirk Center on Sat., Feb. 21.
 
The Titans improved to 18-7 overall and 10-4 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Bluejays slipped to 19-6 overall and 9-5 in the conference. Seniors Pat Sodemann, Dylan Overstreet, Jordan Nelson and Brandon Heyen were honored prior to the game.
 
Eleven Titans got in the scoring column and jumped off to a quick start, leading 41-28 at intermission. The game was tied at 11 and there were four lead changes in the first half before IWU took the lead for good at 14-13 with 12:01 in period one.

The Bluejays got within nine at 41-32 with 18:54 to play in the game but the Titans built and maintained a double-figure lead the remainder of the contest, getting to the final margin of 30 with 1:15 left.
 
IWU outrebounded Elmhurst 39-34 and forced 14 Bluejay turnovers while the Titans admitted to a season-low four turnovers.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Titans are the No. 2 seed in the CCIW tournament and will play Elmhurst again next Friday at Rock Island. Augustana is the No. 1 seed and won their final regular season game 89-55 at Wheaton.
