BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The No. 7-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team will square off with No. 23-ranked Wisconsin Whitewater for the second time this season at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Francis Field in St. Louis.

Live VideoThe NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Sectional is being hosted by No. 4-ranked Washington U.-St. Louis, who will play No. 22-ranked Wartburg in the other sectional semifinal at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The winners will meet on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. for a berth in the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Final Four held December 4-5 at Swope Soccer Park in Kansas City, Mo.

Katie Denney posted her first career shutout in a 1-0 win on Sept. 1. The win marked the first time that Illinois Wesleyan has beaten Wisconsin-Whitewater since the 2012 campaign, as the Titans lead the all-time series 5-2-1. Saturday will also mark the first time that Illinois Wesleyan has played an opponent on a neutral field.
The Titans have outscored opponents 62-8 this season and have allowed only one first-half goal. Senior forward

Tess Bottorff has 10 goals including six game-winning goals. Junior

Illinois Wesleyan has a 9-5-3 record all-time in the NCAA tournament including two wins last weekend. The Titans downed Westminster (Mo.) 7-0 before needing two overtimes to defeat Pomona-Pitzer 1-0. Illinois Wesleyan is looking for their second straight trip the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Final Four after having never advanced past the first weekend before last year.
Wisconsin-Whitewater (19-5) advanced to the Sweet 16 for the second time in school history with a pair of shutout wins over Carroll University (1-0) and Wheaton College (2-0) in Whitewater, Wis. The Warhawks have a 5-4-1 record in five NCAA appearances, and are seeking their first Final Four appearance.
WASHINGTON U.: Illinois Wesleyan has a 5-10-3 record historically against Washington U. and the Bears have won five straight against the Titans including a 1-0 decision in St. Louis on Sept. 19 ... The Knights (15-4-3) punched their ticket to the Sweet 16 with a 1-0 win over the College of St. Scholastica and a 5-4 shootout win over No. 13 University of Puget Sound in Waverly, Iowa ... This marks the first appearance in Sectional play since 2007, and second all-time in program history ... Wartburg has a 4-3-3 record in five NCAA appearances, and is seeking its first trip to the Final Four ... Wartburg and Washington U. met earlier this season with the Bears claiming a 2-1 victory on

NCAA TOURNAMENT NOTES: Nine of the top-10 ranked teams still remain in the bracket. Trinity Texas (No. 2) was upset last weekend by Hardin-Simmons 2-0 ... Of the top 15 ranked teams in the NSCAA Top 25 poll, 11 of them still remain ... Hardin-Simmons is the only team still remaining that is not ranked in the NSCAA Top 25 Poll (ranked No. 27) ... The four sectional hosts (Messiah, William Smith, Washington U. and Carnegie Mellon) are ranked 1, 3, 4 and 5 ... Three schools that Illinois Wesleyan has played this year are still in the tournament, with two of the schools (Wisconsin-Whitewater and Washington U.) in the same sectional as IWU. Calvin, who IWU beat 1-0 on Sept. 4, plays sectional host Carnegie Mellon ...
