Volleyball Titans Win Sixth Straight Match

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Three Illinois Wesleyan volleyball players had 12 kills each as Illinois Wesleyan swept Wheaton College 3-0 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play at the Shirk Center on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The Titans won by scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-16.
 
The Titans, now 16-4 for the first time since the 1994 campaign, won for the sixth straight time and for the fifth straight time in three sets and improved to 2-1 in the CCIW while the Thunder dropped to 7-13 and 0-2 in the CCIW.
 
CCIW "Offensive Player of the Week" Kyleigh Block along with freshmen Tyler Brown and Rachel Burkman each had 12 kills for the Titans while contributing 11, 15 and eight digs each. Junior setter Colleen Rynne paced the Titans with 20 set assists while freshman Leah Seielstad added 17 assists. Freshman Heidi Dague led all players with five blocks.
 
What's Next?
IWU does not play for more than a week before returning to the court to play at No. 15 Elmhurst in CCIW play on Wednesday, Oct. 14. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
