DECATUR, Ill. -- By narrow margins of 23-25, 22-25, 25-23, 20-25, the Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team lost in four sets at Millikin on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Ill.
In losing two in a row for the third time this season, Illinois Wesleyan is now 18-7 overall and 3-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Big Blue improved to 19-8 overall and 4-1 in conference action.
Sophomore
Kyleigh Block led Illinois Wesleyan with 15 kills and 18 digs with freshman
Tyler Brown adding 13 kills and 11 digs. Junior
Colleen Rynne had a team-high 28 set assists and freshman
Leah Seielstad provided 15 while senior
Mary Rankin had 18 defensive digs.
Sophomore
Maisy Bowden had five total blocks for the Titans, who hit .123 in the match (50 kills, 29 errors, 171 total attacks) to a .204 hitting mark for the Big Blue (58 kills, 26 errors, 157 tries).
What's Next?The Titans will have short rest and quick preparation before facing No. 13-ranked Carthage (23-6 overall, 3-1 CCIW) on Friday at 7 p.m.at the Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis.
