Skyler Tomko picked up where she left off on Wednesday by scoring four goals to tie a school record for most goals in one game in a 10-0 win for the Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team over Earlham College on Saturday, Sept 6.
The host Titans improve to 3-1-0 overall, winning their third straight, while the visiting Quakers fall to 2-1-0 overall.
Tomko opened up the scoring in the eighth minute (7:55) with her third goal of the year off of a cross from
Tess Bottorff.
Sydney Fox would add another goal seven minutes later (14:30), before Tomko would score her second goal of the day (19:35) to put the Titans up 3-0. Tomko would score again at 45:40 mark before tying the school record with her fourth goal of the day at the 57:10 mark with an unassisted goal. The Sophomore from Lisle, Ill. now shares the record with Marissa Johnson, who set the mark back in 2004 at Carthage.
Dana Jourdan started in goal for the Titans and played the entire first half, before giving way to
Shannon Green to start the second half. Green saw 25:19 of action before
Brianna Miulli came in for the last 19:47, making one save. IWU outshot the Quakers 33-3, including a 19-2 advantage in shots on goal.
